Legend Beer reduces price on beer

Legend beer, inspired by German beer now lower there price from about 90 000 to 75 000 VND per liter. Of course there is also a small catch.  There is one exception, all pubs except the most central one, close to Hoan Kiem Lake is covered by this action of mercy to our thin pockets.

Not lowering their price

So you have to go to one of the pubs outside city center to enjoy the fantastic taste
of cheaper beer. Most of the legend beer is made in Saigon and transported to Hanoi. The lower price is probably an effect of the downturn in the economic boom in Vietnam. Many of Legend beer and Goldmalts pubs is not in the city center but in the outskirts of Hanoi which also means that their customers is mostly Vietnamese. The senior BNO guys also told that there where many more Vietnamese guys in these pubs some years ago. If the downturn is because of the tougher economy or by the high divorce rate in the city is still a mystery. Many working women divorce from their unemployed men, many of them frequent beer drinkers.

Beside these pubs you often have bia hoi places where you can have a glass of beer for 8000 VND, so 75 000 is still a lot compared to that but anyway it’s more reasonable.

Legend Beer has three beers on tap:

If you want to have a little cheaper beer you can also combine it with a visit to the hectic Big C shopping mall. And for you guys who really want to maximize this price, take local bus nr 50 from Tay Ho, pay the 5000 VND bus ticket and smile all the way to Big C.
